Meet the Team Bringing DDA to Mt. Laurel

Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Academy’s Mt. Laurel team follows the same coaching philosophy used across all DDA locations, focusing on clear instruction, strong safety practices, and encouragement that helps kids feel supported.

Children are guided through skills step by step, with reminders that effort and progress matter. Many parents notice that their kids leave class proud of what they learned and excited to come back the following week.

Why Gymnastics Matters More Than You Think

Gymnastics helps children develop skills that extend far beyond the gym. While kids enjoy learning new movements, they are also building habits that support confidence, focus, and healthy activity.

Boosts Confidence

Every new skill, whether it’s a cartwheel or a balance beam hold, gives kids a moment to feel proud of themselves. Those small wins add up and help children believe in what they can accomplish.

Builds Strength & Coordination

Gymnastics gets the whole body moving, helping kids develop strength, balance, flexibility, and control. Over time, they start to notice they can jump higher, balance longer, and move with more confidence.

Teaches Focus & Patience

Kids learn to listen carefully, practice new skills, and keep trying until they get it right. Those habits of focus and persistence often carry over into school and other activities.

Encourages Healthy Habits

Gymnastics helps kids see movement as fun rather than something they have to do. That positive experience with activity can shape healthy habits that stick with them as they grow.

Strengthens Social Skills

Kids’ gymnastics in Mt. Laurel gives children the chance to practice alongside teammates, cheer each other on, and celebrate progress together. Along the way, they’ll learn the importance of teamwork and encouraging others.
