Summer Camp 2024 FAQs

Enrollment for summer camp is by the week only.  We do offer several daily camp options throughout the school year for school holidays/closures.

A full refund will be provided for cancellations through May 15, 2024.  After this date, a credit will be provided for cancellations requested a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the camp week.  Credits are valid for 6 months from the date issued and can be used for any program including classes, open gym, and camps. For cancellations requested less than 30 days prior to the start of a session, you can request to transfer camp weeks.  Transferring weeks is contingent upon space. See transfer policy for more information.

Families may request to transfer camp weeks for no fee a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the camp week.  For transfers requested less than 14 days prior to the start of the camp week, there is a $50 transfer fee. All transfers must take place during Summer Camp 2024 and are contingent upon camper availability at the time of the request.  Please note that there will be more limited opportunities if you are trying to transfer weeks later in the summer.

You are welcome to waitlist for as many camp weeks as you want.  If a space opens up, we will email all of the families on the waitlist at the same time.  Whoever responds to that email first, via email, gets the open spot!  We suggest not calling or emailing questions as you will likely miss the opening.

We are a safe, supportive, and empowering gymnastics and ninja gym for all!  Our goal is to develop your child’s self-confidence and strength while teaching quality gymnastics, fostering friendships, and building memories that will last a lifetime. By signing up for summer camp, your child will be provided an experience to grow and develop many life-long skills such as leadership, cooperation, and problem-solving outside the comforts of home.  We can’t wait to be a part of your child’s summer camp experience!

Junior gymnastics camp is open to ages 4-5, and your child must be completely potty-trained and able to use the restroom independently to attend camp.  Recreational Gymnastics camp and Ninja camp is open to ages 6-13.  We welcome beginning through advanced level gymnasts & ninjas.

If your child has special needs, please contact us prior to registering to make sure we can provide the appropriate level of care & support for your child.  Safety is a priority, and enrolled children must be able to stay with their group, follow instructions, and cooperate with other children and staff.  An evaluation may be recommended to determine readiness.

The schedule below is an example and not an exact schedule. Daily schedules will vary depending on type of camp (Ninja, Gymnastics, or Junior), age, and location.

9:00-9:30 Warm up Activities & Games
9:30-12:00 Gymnastics, Snack, & Ninja Rotations
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:00 Crafts
1:00-2:00 Gymnastics & Ninja Rotations
2:00-2:30 Open Gym
2:30-3:00 Group Activities & Challenges

We group children by age to the best of our ability, according to the ages of the children we have attending camp each week.

Groups are formed based on age, and we do our best to honor friend requests when possible. When forming camp groups on the first day of camp, campers will have the opportunity to let camp staff know if they would like to be grouped with a friend.  In order to foster new friendships, larger groups of friends may be placed into more than one group.

  • Drop-off: Drop-off takes place between 8:50-9:00am.
  • Pick-up: Pick-up takes place between 2:50-3:00pm.
  • Extended care: For those enrolled in extended care, hours are from 3:00-4:30 pm. Parents can pick up any time during this window.
  • Parents must sign their child in & out at the front desk. If you are more than 10 minutes late, there will be a $25 late pick up fee.

Athletic attire is required.  Leggings, shorts, tanks, and leotards are welcome.  All tops must cover the midriff and be fitted or tucked in (to keep children safe when going upside down). Long hair must be pulled back into a ponytail or braids.  There are no shoes or socks worn by gymnasts in the gym area, but make sure to bring or wear sneakers daily for when the campers utilize the Ninja gym (both Ninja camp and Rec Gymnastics Camp will spend time in both spaces).

Not permitted: two piece or midriff clothing, skirts/dresses (including leotards with skirts attached), clothing with buttons/zippers/strings, hair bows, jewelry (except for stud earrings)

Please bring the following and LABEL all items:

  • Lunch and morning snack – ALL food must be NUT-free
    • Campers may bring an afternoon snack if desired.
  • Water bottle
  • Preschool camp – please pack an extra set of clothes each day in case of spills or accidents.

Camp is not the same as a gymnastics class. Gymnastics & ninja classes are a bit more structured, and we chart the children’s progress through skill cards.  In camp, the children are learning gymnastics & ninja, but the skills are often incorporated into the games the children play.

The preschoolers do not take naps.  However, they do have 30 minutes of downtime each day for quiet activities including coloring or storytime.

Unfortunately, we do not administer medication to children.  Please make arrangements to bring your child their medication.  For emergency medication including inhalers and epi-pens, please give the medication to the front desk in its original container with your child’s name on it and detailed instructions.

When should my child stay home?

In order to keep our campers and counselors healthy, campers with symptoms of illness or fever within the past 24 hours are asked to stay home.  If a camper arrives with symptoms of illness, or develops symptoms during the camp day, the child will not be permitted to stay.  A parent or guardian must pick up sick/ill children immediately.

For Covid-related exposure or symptoms, please follow current CDC guidelines.

Do you offer a refunds or discounts if my child is unable to attend camp due to illness?

Please note that our staffing & operational expenses are based on our enrollment numbers and do not change if your child misses camp. However, we are happy to offer a partial credit in the following circumstance:

For sudden illness, you must contact us via email prior to 8:00am of the camp day.  If your camper has to miss 2 or more days of summer camp for illness, we will provide a 50% credit for the days missed. Credits are valid for 6 months from the date issued and can be used for any program including classes, open gym, and camps. Single day absences are not credited.

Safety and respect are top priorities for a successful and fun camp.  Therefore, it is imperative that all children listen to our staff, follow all gym safety rules, and treat their coaches and fellow campers with respect.  If this code of conduct is not followed, a warning will be given followed by time outs if necessary.  If the behavior continues, we reserve the right to send a child home and possibly dismiss the child from the program for behavior or safety issues.  There are no refunds if a child is dismissed from the program for misconduct.

We will keep your child engaged and active throughout the day, so bringing items from home is not necessary.  Please note that if you do choose to bring items from home, we will not be responsible for missing or damaged items.

With the exception of necessary staff use, we strive to create an unplugged zone for our campers.  Therefore, no electronic hand-held devices are allowed to be used at camp.  This policy is designed to give your children a much-needed break from the world of technology, enrich the connections they make with other campers, and ensure that your children cannot post camp photos of themselves & other campers on the internet.  Any cell phones brought to camp will be placed in a secure location, and your child may pick up the phone at the end of the camp day.
